It worked for me...for about a month. Tried again, and yet again, after about a month, it's back to the "MTP Connected" message. Not sure whether I should dump the MP3 player or Windows.

I have samsung yp-u2j 512mb, i kind of not used it for an year and now when i press swtich on button it says SYSTEM LOADING ======20% and goes off...i dont know if its the battery problem or not... can anyone help me out...

I also have a mac and it doesn't recognize the player either. I have two yp-u2j mp3 players and one works and one doesn't, so it's not my mac. Anyone know how to solve this?

Woohoo!!! I had just installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate on my wifes computer and was giving her my YP-U2J since I now have an iPod. I hooked the thing up to my newly installed OS and it didn't recognize crap, got an error about driver install failed.

After updating the YP with instructions above, my Windows Media Player 12 now sees the darn thing! I just got a new xmas gift.

I just did this upgrade a couple of months back after encountering this (MTP-do not disconnect) problem. I stopped using it for a while after I fixed it and it even synched fine with WMP 11.0.5721.5268 version which I were told it had problems recognizing this device model.

Now I pulled it out of the drawer and it had a low battery but it worked fine. When I plugged it on the PC, the same nasty problem. Is there a permanent fix for this issue? Does SAMSUNG or anyone know what causes it?
